Importing and Exporting Menu Sets




Administrators can import and export Menu Sets that have been configured. Administrators may want to do this in circumstances where they are moving configured menu sets from a test system to a production system, or if they simply want to backup the current menu configuration. The following sections will document the steps that a user takes to import and export menu sets.

Exporting Menu Sets

To export a menu set:

  1. Go to Control Panel - Administration Tools - Menus.

  2. Select the link to the Menu Set in the Menu Set Name column.

  3. Select the Export Menu Set button.

  4. Select Save.

  5. Navigate to a place on the file system to save the file.

The exported zip file will contain a Menu.xml and Schema.xml file that will be used to create a Menu Set layout when the menu set is imported.

Importing Menu Sets

To import a menu set:

  1. Go to Control Panel - Administration Tools and Menu Admin

  2. Select the link to the Menu Set in the Menu Set Name column.

  3. Select Import button.

  4. Browse and find the zip file that represents the Menu Set.

  5. Select Begin Import.
