Expanded Capabilities in VisualVault v2.95 (What’s New!)
Core VisualVault functionality continues to strengthen and build upon prior product versions.
VisualVault v2.95 builds upon existing capabilities to further enhance usability, provide support for sophisticated compliance environments, and support high-volume scan and capture requirements.
Customer input drives product enhancements and the following items were requested and delivered:
Forms and Form Designer:
- Drag and Drop form designer - forms can be designed easily and existing controls can be rearranged through intuitive mouse drag and drop capabilities.
- Control Clipboard - copy/move any form control to the clipboard for reuse anywhere on the form template.
- Textbox justification
- Button Control - this version adds a button control that can be used to save the from, manage wizard based forms, or complete tasks.
- Image Control - add graphics to any form template to create a professional look and feel.
- Call .NET assemblies from the form to enforce business rules.
- Ability to make fields read only based on coditions or security.
- Control the flow of workflows with buttons, or lists of users and groups in drop down lists.
- Form List Control - display form data on a form tab based upon form and dashboard filtered criteria.
Portal Controls:
- A new Dashboard Viewer control has been added to allow form data to be displayed on the My Vault portal.
Report Server:
- Dynamic reports can be built around Document or Form data using the VisualVault report server.
Admin Tools:
- Scheduling Adimn - schedule the execution of a .NET assembly to execute custom business logic.
- Outside Process Admin - register and manage .NET assemblies.
- Email subscriptions - administrators can subscribe or unsubscribe users to any subscription event.
Documents:
- Choose to store documents in the database or on the files system with the new Content Manager.
- Comments - facilitate and view comment threads for any document.
- Change a Document ID for any document when the configuration is enabled.
