The Kofax Release Script for VisualVault runs within the Kofax Ascent scanning software and transparently pushes scanned images into a VisualVault repository.

• Capture documents into a searchable document library.
• Extract metadata from structured document information.
• Create robust business workflows based upon relevant business metadata.
• Initiate a workflow when a document is scanned based on values within the document.
• Dynamically collate documents into a folder structure based on data found within the documents during scanning. 
• Catpure documents from a scanner, or import documents from a file system or network location.
• Free up employees to work on other non-automated business processes.
• Direct placement of documents into VisualVault.
• Ability to map and update metadata captured by Kofax Ascent Capture to VisualVault Index Fields.
• Ability to control the File Name, Document Unique identifier, and Description based upon index field values and predefined text.
• Automatic creation of folders based on Index field values. (Create a customer folder based upon the CustomerName index field defined in Kofax.)
• Check in a new revision of a document where the Document Unique identifier is matched to an existing document.
