The application architecture includes an ASP.NET web application, .Net background services, SQL Server repositories, search and indexing servers, and integrated capture tools (capture, scan, and imaging solutions).  

Remote application calls are made to the web server by referencing the API from a Visual StudioŽ Project.  The SDK includes a .Net web services "wrapper" which allows you to reference a single .Net assembly (.dll) and begin using the API without the need to call individual web services.
