April 2007 PSI Systems Selects VisualVault
PHOENIX, AZ April, 2007 - Auersoft, is pleased to announce PSI Systems has selected VisualVault to provide document control for their multi-year contracts. PSI Systems is a premiere provider of satellite communications systems to an international clientele.
Dave Megel, Vice President of Psi-Systems commented, Psi Systems originally selected VisualVault in order to assist us in maintaining configuration control, strict revision control and provide formal release processes for all documentation. In addition, the global nature of our business required a secure system that is readily accessible 24 hours a day. VisualVault meets all of these requirements with ease.
As we move forward in our work to deploy VisualVault, we have begun to see how VisualVault could make our company more efficient in other operational areas, in addition to the immediate contractual needs. Therefore, we have begun incorporating VisualVault into these other operational areas, including:
- Supporting our global network of installation and field engineers by providing them with easy access to the most up-to-date documentation and configuration information;
- Assisting us in the coordination of shipping and logistics activities with our freight forwarder and customers;
- Improving our control and tracking processes related to warranty, repairs and replacement;
- Expanding our services to our customers by providing on-line trouble ticket initiation and tracking;
- Improving our internal proposal development and contract negotiations processes by making the most current documents available to all involved employees;
- Reducing e-mail associated with the distribution of documents, both internally and externally; and
- Improving our internal accounting and financial control processes.
We were encouraged with the ease of VisualVault in allowing us to develop rapid prototypes of workflows. This rapid prototype approach permits us to bring initial versions of these processes online quickly, while allowing us to easily improve our processes as we learn more during operation.
Finally, I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of acceptance of VisualVault by our staff. Its intuitive nature, and the use of standard web-based methods assisted us in getting broad support from our employees. I am convinced that our customers will readily adopt the services we make available through VisualVault, as well.
Clearly, we are excited about moving forward with VisualVault. While there is much work to do in the next several weeks, we see a good fit for this product in many of the operational processes of Psi Systems -- most of which were unanticipated when we first identified VisualVault as a potential solution.
